VISTA IR Camera Project ======================= Useful starter information -------------------------- 1) A good general starting place for VISTA and ESO-VLT software information is the VISTA software web page at http://www.roe.ac.uk/atc/projects/vista/software/ accessed using "vistasw/celestial". This page contains links to most of the places where documentation may be found. 2) Location of VISTA IR Camera documentation at ATC: Software documentation may be found on the PC network in H:\Atc Vista IR\Work Breakdown Structure\6.8_Software Current documentation is in the "Current" directory. "Archive" contains older versions of the documentation. "PDR" and "FDR" contain frozen version of the documents submitted to PDR and FDR. (PDR date 10-11 December 2002. FDR date 15-19 December 2003). 3) Location of central VISTA IR documentation repository: All VISTA IR documents are held centrally in a Sharepoint repository at RAL accessed through this URL: http://vistadocs.rl.ac.uk/VISTA/Documents You will need a username and password to access this repository. This can be obtained from IT managers at RAL. 4) Location of VISTA documentation: VISTA documents are stored on the PC network at H:\VISTA but this location is only useful for accessing draft copies of documents. The "official" set of VISTA documents is only available through Q'Pulse at http://pluto.roe.ac.uk/qpulseweb/ A username and password are required to access the documents. Jacqueline McDougal can provide a username. 5) Location of ESO-VLT documents: ESO-VLT software documents may be accessed at http://www.eso.org/projects/vlt/sw-dev The "Documentation Kit April 2003", "Additional relevant documents" and "Instrumentation Documents" are the most useful links.
