ACTION: JB to release newly registered 05A data sets. - done Actions partly discharged but continuing: ----------------------------------------- None this week Actions carried forward from 17/03/06 meeting: ---------------------------------------------- ACTION: JB to review Hardware/OS/DBMS design doc to note areas that need updating and itemise new sections required - CONTINUES ACTION: NCH to investigate the usefulness of a NAS solution for medium term archive mass storage. - CONTINUES ACTION: ETWS and JB to put a TWiki note on the intranet detailing the outcome of the UKLight meeting at NeSC. - CONTINUES Specific points and new actions: -------------------------------- WFCAM update: No more news on report in CASU minutes of one apparently duff WFCAM detector Networking: JB reported that UKLight was pretty much at the stage of writing the application to give to David Salmon (UKLight), after which it'll be a case of getting the hardware and plugging it in and sorting out the software (which will need close coordinnation with CASU). WSA Operations: JB reported that CU3 and CU4 were now half way through the November data. Hardware: PMW reported that Thutmose (spelling?) and the new 42U rack are in C1 awaiting installation. ACTION: MAR to liaise with Eclipse regarding installation Software: ETWS and JB reported (chorus) bug fixes to CU21, CU4, CU18, CU19 ETWS reported that he had extended the capabilities of the survey template parser to include more more functionality for programme specific attributes and wrote a HOWTO on the Twiki. RSC reported that he and Nick, with the help of Johann and Eckhard, had been making all the necessary alterations to the database and software to incorporate the Galactic extinction attributes into the Source tables and Filter table. MAR reported progress on the query builder tool for joining WFCAM + non-WFCAM data and that he had updated the IfA WFAU web pages. Astrogrid deployment: JDT reported that the planned visit from Guy Rixon is slipping further. JDT asked about status of on-line USNO B data. This is now disconnected from the WSA but can be made available on-line subject to disk space and moving SDSS data about. JB would let him know availability. Miscellaneous: RSC reported that SJW had agreed to his giving a five-minute demonstration of the WSA after the UKIDSS science talks, i.e. on Thursday 6th April sometime between 12 and 1pm. He had also prepared a poster for the meeting.
