Discharged; MAR has set up a web form for this purpose. Mark Casali has tried it out. Actions partly discharged but continuing: ----------------------------------------- None this week. Actions carried forward from 10/06/05 meeting: ---------------------------------------------- ACTION: AL to contact SJW concerning his wishes for science verification data access. - CONTINUES Specific points and new actions: -------------------------------- Project management: NCH noted his own absence next week (attending a conference); the VDMT of the 8th July (at CASU) means that the next project meeting will be on Thurs 7th July at 10am in the Plate Library. The VDMT reports will be discussed and assembled at this meeting. The (very) good news this week concerns the recruitment: interviews for the archive software developer took place yesterday, with the entire field of candidates being found to be strong and employable. An offer has been made to an excellent candidate; we anticipate a response some time next week. WFCAM update: See the stop press pages linked from the TWiki for latest news. Comments and issues arising from CASU fortnightly minutes: No new minutes as of 24/06/05. Networking: Nothing new to report. Hardware: All archive hardware are functioning normally. Software: ETWS reported some outstanding problems with transfer and ingest from CASU, that have held up ingestion of SV1 data. ETWS has been on leave this week, so we anticipate that completion of transfer and ingest will happen next week. NCH has been working on the software for non-survey release products this week, stream-lining and automating where possible. MAR has added non-survey registration pages to the archive site. NJC has been on leave at a conference. Data Release: Release of reprocessed commissioning data took place on 10th June. The main area of concern this week is the delay over ingestion of the SV1 data that CASU have finished processing. Some problems (e.g. with the ingest codes - now fixed) are of WFAU's own making. However, another issue is that small changes to the CASU/WFAU interface have come to light only after transfer, e.g. the issue over exactly which of the PROJP and PV WCS keywords that will be employed. We hope that these have now stabilised and will not change further, but if any more changes have been necessary that we haven't been told about, ingest may be further delayed. Very minor hiccups like incorrect naming of files have similarly held things up a little (e.g. catalogue files with incorrect file extension names). Again, it is hoped that these teething troubles have now been fixed, and the data flow can be automated (as opposed to requiring frequent manual intervention). Unfortunately, owing to staff leave (NCH last week, ETWS this week, NCH again next week for a conference) and the inability to fully automate, the schedule for SV1 release will likely slip. RGM suggested an email to SJW, CC'd to AL and MJI should be sent to explain the situation further and give our best estimate as to the likely release data. ACTION: NCH to email SJW, AL, MJI to explain the SV1 release situation. SSA: Nothing new this week Astrogrid deployment: No news this week. Miscellaneous: Nothing else new this week.
