Continues; NCH suggested we should do some experiments with the linked SQL Servers ahmose & amenhotep once the dust has settled on their reorganisation over the next couple of weeks. - all continuing; thanks for progressing these. Actions carried forward from 25/02/05 meeting: ---------------------------------------------- ACTION: NCH & ETWS to take a look at the latest raw MEF headers and send any comments back to MR at CASU. - CONTINUES Specific points and new actions: -------------------------------- Project management: NCH noted the VDMT meeting immediately after this meeting. WFCAM update: Nothing new this week. Comments and issues arising from CASU fortnightly minutes: The team noted the minutes of the meeting of 17 February; there were no comments. Networking: 80-parameter catalogues have been received from JRL, and ETWS and NCH are looking into ingest issues raised by them. Hardware: Online archive hardware continues to function normally. Software: MAR reported: "Implemented basic authorization scheme, access to FITS files from image listing is now restricted. Forms show whether a user is logged in or not. Login page written. Worked with Eckhard (who did the real work) in implementing the asinh scaling of the FITS2jpeg for thumbnail extraction. Also worked on getting corrcet rotation angle from WCS headers." NCH has finished off CU9 as far as is possible at the moment (i.e. without real data to test). NJC has continued to look at proof of concept issues related to CU8, while ETWS has continued to push forward on final deployment of the ingestion CUs (2-4). CU3 is ready to go; CU2 nearly done and CU4 is being worked on (e.g. as above). SSA: No news this week. Astrogrid deployment: MAR noted that at the previous day's GAG telecon, there are no new requirements on WFAU to deploy any further AG components for the NAM demos. MAR also reported that it now seems that the AG community software is unlikely to fully meet WSA requirements on the required timescale, so he is proceeding with an ad-hoc community-like database system for WSA access. Miscellaneous: Nothing else this week.
